My sister is still with cancer, but she's alive and laughing, and taking natural treatments. HaShem wants her to stay on earth a bit longer. I'm very grateful. When they diagnosed her years ago, the doctors (many of them!) told her she would have a maximum of 6 months of life left. I'm glad they were wrong. Reminds me of a poem which is called, «Man Proposes, but G_d Disposes.» Another version of that is, «man plans, but G_d laughs.»
Dima, if you are not working for money, you must be a rich man. Be careful with women! Some women see a man who has his own money source, and they might want that money too! 😀 Or perhaps you are a simple man, who lives within the rules of Dao de Ching.
You are very creative! How do you think working on the Wikimapia, and translating the Dao de Ching? I think creative people see magic and chances, where other people just see nothing. That's the key to creativity!
I am SO SORRY about your Ukraine, which I know you love. 😢 We all are Jewish, but we are also the product of the country we were born in. We are its air, its soil, its customs, its habits. Have you noticed that Jews from different countries look very different? Yes, sometimes it's because of intermarriage, but I know it's also because of the soil, the sun, or lack of it, the air, the weather, the language, etc. We are all Jews from whatever country we are from, raised in, and so on. And then when we move to Israel, and we become people from Israel, in Israel, we add another country to our history, body, and blood! I hope that your country is healed 100% and that once again it is safe so that you can visit and enjoy it. A friend of my husband says that Ukraine is made up of the most physically beautiful people and terrain.
I forgot. Does your daughter have a baby? I was thinking how beautiful your daughter's baby is or will be. More so with a boyfriend from Yemen.
My husband and I have been to Austin, Texas two times. It's a very beautiful city. Nice Jewish community, too! We dream of moving there, but I will not leave Florida with my sister in Florida
